Chimwemwe Nyimba, Jr.

I am a legal and tax professional with more than a decade of experience in domestic and international taxation, estate planning, and business advisory. 

Born and raised in Lilongwe, Malawi, I received my undergraduate and postgraduate legal training in Malawi and South Africa. My practice largely focused on local tax compliance, multi-jurisdictional advisory, and tax controversy matters, with a particular interest in the intersection of tax law and global compliance frameworks.

Currently, I serve as an Intern at Sargent Hayes & Associates in Seattle, Washington, where I support the firm’s estate planning, probate, trust and family law practice. I also bring extensive experience from my prior work with Sankara and Associates, where I advised corporate and pass-through clients on multi-state tax obligations, transfer pricing, and cross-border structuring. 

Joining Sargent Hayes seems be to perfect fate based on how I got here and naturally fit with the ever so happy a team.

I am a current LL.M. in American Legal Studies student with Seattle University School of Law and enjoying the Seattle community that has been very welcoming. I am deeply committed to learning everything about the American legal system and the practical insights that my Principle and the team have afforded me.
